Day 131 - Return to CPK and Manny Fernandez

Day 131 VLOG CLICK HERE!

My first shift at CPK since being back in town. My talents are being wasted. At no point in my career do I feel lower. When I first started working there I looked at it as a way to work on character development. Each table would get a different characteristic; southern accent, slight lisp, maybe a limp. Now, I struggle to get from table to table without choking my next customer.  And I do it all with a smile.

Manny Fernandez was on the workshop schedule tonight. He cast the new pilot "Perception" for TNT starting in July. He's a great guy! Very personable. Oh and Aileen Burdock was in class and she was not on at all. Give it up. *wink wink*

Until tomorrow!

  1. keep your head up Travis! look how far your work ethic has got you so far. it seems as if your job is quite flexible with your schedule. Most restaurants in LA are not. I know some actors who refuse to work in restaurants, because they hate it. They are broke allll the time. Could be a lot worse. Serving is a necessary job that exists it every single country.

All the good actors boooomb auditions. It's hard to always be on point and nobody's perfect - we're human. Usually means we are taking risks as well. The safe actors don't go too far.

I honestly can only think of a few actors of the hundreds I know that are working as hard as you are. It took some years, but when they persisted something good and major always happened. Stay positive bro, it'll happen.
